Anti-Abortion

First and foremost, the idea of abortion is morally wrong because it involves taking the life of an innocent fetus. Human life begins at conception, so the idea that a fetus is not actually a living thing is false. It is a separate living thing other than it's own mother which makes the fetus an innocent human being. Taxpayers are also paying for these procedures through Medicaid whether even if they think it is immoral and unethical. In other words you could be paying for other people's mistakes. Every year, abortion acts as a genocide. It's the same as thousands of any other person dying. It is still one less human life. There is no telling what impact on society an aborted child would have had. They could have been a very influential person on society. Abortion is a type of method to control populations in underdeveloped countries. After hearing that, it is impossible to think of abortion as an ethical procedure. Abortion can also lead to further medical complications later on down the road resulting in the woman not being able to conceive. The actual abortion is also very harmful to the mother's body as well. After an abortion, there is also an increased chance that the woman will experience miscarriages, still births, and premature births in the future.

The key issues that I have problems with in this blog are one that human life begins at conception, two saying that an aborted child could have been a very influential person, the fact that abortion causes future problems with women, and finally, saying that abortion is immoral and unethical.

Again the main problem I see is raised with the question where does life begin? I believe that the fetus could not live on its own, therefore needing its mother in order to live. The fetus has the potential for life, but it is not life itself. The fetus is not self sustainable. To a woman, the fetus is like a finger or toe or any other part of the woman’s body. Would it be immoral for her to cut off her own finger? This is the same as a chicken egg and yet, we eat billions if not trillions of eggs, which have the potential to become life, every year. Does this make us immoral or unethical? And to say that this fetus could one day be a very influential person is not based on fact. This is the same as me saying that this fetus could be the next Hitler. Billions of people say that they could be the next dead sexiest person in the world, but does this make them the next dead sexiest person in the world? One thing that I do agree with is the fact that abortion could lead to health issues. Women who have abortions could have problems having future children or that abortions lead to medical complications and are dangerous. Abortion is dangerous and can lead to future problems. But, these are facts that lead to it being the woman’s decision. It is her choice to accept the possibility of future stillbirths. It is her choice whether to accept the fact that an abortion could lead to future problems just like is my choice to go skydiving. I could die, so could the woman having an abortion. Nobody stops me though. Many think skydiving is an amazing sport. Just like it is my choice to risk my own life, it is the woman’s choice to risk her own. Finally, abortion at times is a necessity. Babies can be detrimental to a woman’s health. A baby could in fact kill a woman and if it comes to this point, abortion becomes a valid option to save the life of the mother.
